NOOSA SPRINGS
With more than 1500 residents, a variety of resort and short term accommodation, day spa with full leisure and fitness facilities all centred around a resort style, championship golf course with a magnificent clubhouse and set in a sub-tropical climate it is little wonder that Noosa Springs is one the most sought after addresses in Queensland.
This is not only because of its location and the great facilities on offer but because in design terms this is perhaps the best example of a well integrated golf lifestyle development in the country.
The course is a 6189m long par 72 that offers resort guests and novice players enough space to avoid the hazards while the more competent player is asked to tackle and conquer these strategic challenges if they are to play to or better their handicap. |

Most holes have a strategic risk for reward
challenge, some taking on heroic proportions the 4th hole a 141m par 3 is all water carry for those playing at the pin, especially when it’s on the left of the green.
It is possible to run a shot onto the right edge of the green when the flag is on that side. A pitch and run from the bail-out area to the right of the green is a smart option but not necessarily as easy as it might first appear.

The 5th hole is only 329m long and the green approach is open to anyone brave or foolish enough to attempt driving the green. There are however many other playing strategies as shown on the design sketch above left. |
